Technical Analysis of Desert Control
(ticker on Euronext Growth Oslo: DSRT)
The Desert Control share has shown a very weak development since its peak at the turn of the year 2021/2022, when the share was highest around NOK 40.00 (see weekly chart below).
However, it now appears that the stock has established a bottom around NOK 5.00, which has triggered several positive technical signals for the stock recently. The share has received a strong boost in recent weeks, breaking above both the 50-day and 200-day moving averages.
Furthermore, the share has broken above an important and significant technical resistance level around NOK 6.00.
There will now be good technical support for the share down towards the NOK 6.00 level in the event of downward corrections. Aksjeanalyser.com believes the share can now be a good buy in the area around NOK 6.00 – 6.70 (at the time of writing Wednesday morning 02/04-2025 the share is around NOK 6.55).
Various momentum indicators such as RSI, Stochastics and MACD indicate an overbought situation for the share in the very short term, and it would therefore not be entirely unnatural if there were to be a small downward correction, and perhaps a test of the now significant and important technical support level around NOK 6.00. However, it should be emphasized that such momentum indicators can sometimes show an overbought situation for a share over a period of time, while the share continues to rise. So one strategy is to buy little by little over a few days.
The BEST model also gives a green light for Desert Control!
Aksjeanalyser.com believes that Desert Control is a very interesting and exciting buy candidate now between NOK 6.00 and 7.00, and sees a potential for the stock to initially reach up to NOK 12.00 in the next 3-6 months. The stock is also breaking upwards from a very large falling wedge formation (see daily chart above), triggering a strong technical buy signal.
On the upside, there is now technical resistance around NOK 7.00, NOK 8.00 and NOK 10.00, but based on the overall very positive technical signals that have now been triggered for the stock, a rise up to the next important technical resistance level around NOK 12.00 seems likely on a 3-6 month horizon.
The BEST model in Vikingen is also in a buy signal for the stock. This popular and effective technical analysis model was developed by Peter Östevik. He finalized the the BEST model around 2019, and after 30 years of experience in technical analysis and Vikingen Financial Software.
What could possibly change the currently positive technical picture that the Desert Control (DSRT) share shows, would be if it were to get an established break down again below the now important and significant technical support level around NOK 6.00.
